BIO

From California to Texas to New England to Tennessee, New Jersey native son Dean Harlem has made America his home in true troubadour fashion. Rooted in Americana and classic country sounds, Dean's percussive guitar style and powerful voice were formed over years of touring and gigging in bars and venues across the United States. His sound has been compared to Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen.

Dean's upcoming album “Civil War” (slated for release on June 12th) explores the history and themes of the American Civil War. The record is a deep dive into the defining event of the 19th Century. With stand-out songs like “The Irish Brigade” which honors Irish soldiers who fought for the Union and “Springfield 1841” told from the perspective of a gun, this album is steeped in history and rich in storytelling.
